  • Parents traveling as chaperones is a decision made by the school. Please check with the lead teacher at the school for this information.

  • Students and adults traveling with special meal requirements need to communicate these requests in advance to Emerald Student Travel through the lead teacher. Emerald will make every effort to communicate food allergy or special diet requests to the restaurants where choices are limited. Occasionally there are factors that make it impossible for Emerald Student Travel to make reliable arrangements for a special meal. Students and adults that have extreme or complex food allergies are advised to pack snacks and be prepared with extra meal money to purchase food if necessary.

  • It’s a good idea for students to have some spending money for snacks between meals or souvenir shopping. It is not recommended that students leave cash unattended.

  • In the event of inclement weather, the principal of the school and Emerald Student Travel will discuss and determine the course of action. Our company operates on that county’s severe weather policy as it relates to cancellations and delays. We also consider the advisories of the weather sources in the counties that we would be traveling to. The school would notify the parents and students directly if there are any changes to the itinerary or dates of travel.

  • No, we will not cancel a trip if there is rain. We recommend looking at the forecast in advance and bringing umbrellas, ponchos or raincoats. If there is more severe thunderstorms, we may have to change the trip accordingly. Each trip is handled on as needed basis to ensure that it will improve your experience at each destination.
